    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    • What is the ideal time to visit Oman?

The best time to visit Oman is from October to April, when temperatures are cooler and more pleasant for discovering Muscat, visiting forts, exploring wadis, and enjoying the desert.

    • What clothing should I bring when traveling around Oman?

Lightweight, loose, and breathable clothing is recommended due to the warm climate. Oman is a conservative country, so modest dress is recommended, especially when visiting villages, mosques, and traditional areas. A light jacket can be useful during cooler nights in the mountains or desert.

Bikinis and standard swimwear are generally acceptable at public beaches, private hotel pools and resort beaches, as well as wadis. You should wear respectful clothing when leaving the beach or pool area, as appearing in public in swimwear is not appropriate and can, in some cases, be considered an offense.

    • Should I carry cash in Oman, or can I use my card?

The Omani rial (OMR) is the local currency. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted at hotels, restaurants, and large shops, while cash is useful in souqs, small businesses, and for local purchases. ATMs are available in cities and towns.
